Silver Lake’s week runs on the Silver Lake Farmers Market at Sunset Junction, Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, and on Saturday tours of Richard Neutra’s VDL Studio on the reservoir. The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council’s Governing Board meets the first Wednesday of each month. Through the year: the LA Marathon runs Sunset Boulevard each March in recent years, Make Music LA fills the city with free music every June 21, the Lotus Festival is next door at Echo Park Lake in July, and LA County property tax installments come due November 1 and February 1.
